Your Statement of Interest

| Statements of Interest must be submitted online at
this page. Paper copies will not be accepted. Statements of
Interest are due February 21, 2007, by 4:00 p.m. EST. You
will not be able to submit information after that time. |

| Reminder:
Please have your Statement of Interest prepared using the supplied
Statement
of Interest worksheet (MS
Word document, right click to save) and the Biographical
Data worksheet (MS
Word document, right click to save) before beginning
this session. YOU CANNOT SAVE PARTIAL WORK, LEAVE THE SITE, AND RETURN
TO COMPLETE IT LATER. You may edit your work during the submission
process, but you will not be able to retrieve and modify the information
after it is submitted. For this reason, we strongly encourage you
to read all supporting information and follow suggestions. |

| Co-principal
and associate investigators may submit Biographical Data text at a
separate time from a project's Statement of Interest submission, but
before the submission deadline. Your project's Principal Investigator
must give you a project "SI Number" that is received when
the Statement of Interest is submitted. If you are a co-principal
or associate investigator, proceed directly to
Submit
a Biographical Data Sheet. |

Reminder: Your
Statement of Interest is limited in length to the equivalent of
three 8 1/2 x 11 pages, single-spaced text, using standard,
12-point type size and 1-inch margins. The three-page document will
print longer than three pages after entered into the website form.
This is not a problem. You must also submit a one-page Biographical
Data Sheet for each principal, co-principal, or associate investigator
listed on the Statement of Interest. Your proposal will not
be considered for review until your Statement of Interest
and all the Biographical Data Sheet(s) are submitted no later than
February 21, 2007, by 4:00 p.m. EST.

| Follow
these five steps to complete the Statement of Interest Submission
Process. |
|
|
|
|
| 1. Review
all instructions for preparing a Statement of Interest. If you are
unsure about how to prepare your Statement of Interest, return to
the main page and review the preparation guidelines. |
|
|
|
|
| 2.
Download the Statement
of Interest worksheet (MS
Word document, right click to save) and
Biographical Data worksheet (MS
Word document, right click to save). Work
offline to prepare these documents, then save copies to your personal
computer. |

|
|
| 3.
Submit your
Statement of Interest. Using the website, cut and paste your responses
into the corresponding fields on the Statement of Interest submission
page. BEFORE YOU PRESS THE 'SUBMIT' BUTTON, YOU WILL BE GIVEN THE
OPPORTUNITY TO EDIT your submission. After submitting your Statement
of Interest, you will automatically be given a unique "SI Number."
Write this number down and keep it with your Statement of Interest
documents. Please don't rely on memory. You and your associate investigators
will need the number to submit Biographical Data Sheets to accompany
the Statement of Interest that you have submitted. |

| 4.Submit
a Biographical Data Sheet. Using the website, cut and paste the
principal investigator's Biographical Data worksheet text into the
corresponding fields on the Biographical Data Sheet submission page.
You must have the unique "SI Number" generated upon the
submission of your Statement of Interest. Your proposal will
not be considered for review until both the Biographical Data
Sheet(s) and your Statement of Interest are submitted. If you do submit your biographical data sheets at the same time as your Statement of Interest, here is the link for the biographical data form http://flseagrant.ifas.ufl.edu/CallForProposals/scripts/biodata.php. Remember, you cannot submit your bio data until you have submitted your Statement. |

| 5.
Repeat Step 4 for each co-principal and associate investigator. |

| Note:
Please do not send hard copies of your Statement of Interest or
Biographical Data Sheet to Florida Sea Grant. Thank you for your participation
