Florida Sea Grant Extension & Education Program

Resources for marinas

Are you a Florida Clean Marina? Florida Sea Grant is writing grants to purchase Seabins which will be loaned out to Clean Marinas. Recipients of the Seabins must agree to install and maintain the units (and signs), and must be willing to have staff record and report the weight of debris collected daily. They must also agree to allow volunteers access to the units to conduct detailed analyses of the contents.

Marinas must have a floating dock with power access and a water depth of at least 4.4 feet in order to use the Seabin V5.
