Florida Sea Grant Extension & Education Program

Resources for volunteers

Volunteers are needed to help collect data about the debris collected by Seabins in Florida's Clean Marinas.

We are in the process of establishing locations for our first three Seabins--check back here to see where they are installed.

Want to learn more?

  • Watch a video showing how to empty a Seabin.
  • Read the instructions for conducting an in-depth analysis of debris collected by a Seabin.
  • See the data sheet used for in-depth analyses. Note that a Toonie is a Canadian coin approximately the size of a U.S. quarter :)
  • Watch a video explaining how to do a "deep dive" analyzing debris collected by a Seabin.
